Palestine, Elon Musk, and France: you can’t have it both ways!

Two important decisions were made by France on the same day.

Acting on orders from magistrates, the police raided Musk’s offices in France on charges of child pornography and undermining the democratic process on X, seizing computers and everything else they could find. Musk is furious, and we understand why. We finally think to ourselves, France is not just talking, it is taking a fair and courageous decision, hoping to wake up the sleepy Brussels officials under the tutelage of Ven Der Leyen, who is more effective than Valium in preventing any overflow of her Teutonic preferences. Bravo France!

Then, on the same day, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, who is otherwise very effective in other areas, officially asks the UN to dismiss Francesca Albanese from her position as UN representative for Palestinian refugees. Suddenly, we think we’re dreaming. France officially recognizes Palestine, while Israel, in addition to committing genocide/massacre/barbarism (take your pick), has passed a law resulting in the occupation of all the occupied territories in the West Bank, with unprecedented violence against the inhabitants. All that remains is the suburb of Ramallah, which for the moment will be the state of Palestine—or the building in which the Palestinian Authority, recognized by more than 130 states- is based. Either the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is misinformed, or it is under pressure from the same people—the Jewish official lobby (CRIF)  and its spokespersons, who are very present in media and political circles—who had the last word.

As a reminder, Albanese repeatedly states that genocide, urbicide, and ethnic cleansing are taking place in Gaza, with all the legal implications that this entails, and that this has been confirmed by all NGOs and international bodies and can no longer be disputed, except by those who believe that Israel, because it is mainly populated by Jews, has rights that no other country has. Contrary to what is stated in the press release, Albanese has never contested Israel’s right to exist, but simply its duty to stop the massacre. Accusations of anti-Semitism are becoming tiresome, because once again these massacres reinforce anti-Semitism and not the opposite. These massacres, with their unbearable images of mass graves, dazed children without limbs wandering through the ruins of Gaza in search of food in garbage cans, tons of food blocked at the border because Israel wants to starve the population so that they have no choice but to leave—all of this is circulating on social media and cannot be erased. It has an impact on people who are fed up with the West’s unique preference for Israel throughout history (see the huge demonstrations in Spain, Australia, Ireland, and elsewhere). Please stop reversing the roles. Israel has been the aggressor for 80 years and the Palestinians are the victims who have nothing to do with anti-Semitism (a Christian invention over the centuries) and the Holocaust—unless I am mistaken, the same applies.

You won’t escape it. Albanese will end up winning the Nobel Peace Prize for her courage and because she is defending a cause that is just in legal and human terms. At the same time, the discovery of mass graves and the extent of the massacres perpetrated in Gaza will become even more evident when independent journalists are finally able to enter the area. The Trump Riviera will be built on mountains of corpses! In conclusion, what if you finally had the courage to follow a consistent line? What is true for Putin is also true for BIBI Netanyahu, despite the absurd declarations of the “defenders” of Jews in France.
