Netanyahu and the genocide in Gaza: facts and nothing but facts for those who doubt

Doubt is always required in order to form an opinion and in order to have an opinion, it is appropriate to look at the facts with indisputable testimonies in the age of fake news and counter-truths asserted without embarrassment by the same people. I therefore allow myself to give links to facts / testimonies of journalists / doctors / NGOs / who return from there – from this other planet destroyed at 80%, hospitals, houses, schools, cemeteries, essential electricity installations and water, mosques and churches and even market gardens.

To begin with, it should be remembered that for the UN and major international institutions, including the court of justice, the proven facts amount to a war crime or even genocide. For the criminal court in The Hague, Benyamin Netanyahu and his Minister of Defense Yoav Galant as also for Hamas, Yahya Sinwar Muhamed Deif and Ismaïl Haniye are likely to be arrested in the 124 countries signatories to the creation of this court for war crimes. On a legal (and moral) level, the facts are clear to the court.

For US journalists with little suspicion of being Hamas agents like Arwa Darmon, a senior reporter who traveled the wars – from Iraq to Afghanistan and Bosnia – she “has never seen anything like this in terms of destruction, desolation and despair”.

French doctor, Prof Raphael Pitti testifies to the humanitarian chaos, the impossibility of treatment, the difficult choices like the testimony of Sophie choosing between an amputee child and her dying mother. “In 3 years of career, this is the first time in my life that I have encountered such a catastrophic situation… the population is looking for water; with snipers who hit everything that moves, they shoot systematically on the head, making it even more difficult to save their lives… Doctors of the world as well as international handicap have seen their structures destroyed. All this falls within the framework of a war crime… it is impossible to make interventions surgical procedures, we let them die.” “We must put in place a humanitarian ultimatum for a cease-fire, and validate what the UN has voted for.” Also read the testimony of a nurse returning from GAZA, “there are no words to describe this”. Ditto, this Breton anesthetist (link 4), or the testimony of Mc Mahon, a child psychiatrist who spent months there in the West Bank and GAZA. No one can dispute the extent of this massacre with more children killed than in all conflicts this decade.

Then there are journalists killed, often in a systematic and intentional manner. This is the case with the testimony published by Le Monde, reporting that 108 journalists have been killed since October 7 in Gaza, including 12 international journalists, more than journalists killed in all recent conflicts since. The Israeli army targets and destroys the antennas allowing the AFP and the international press to follow the massacres (ref X). One of the few TV channels present -AL Djazeera has been banned from GAZA and even from Israel at the request of the extremists in power. Testimonies on arbitrary imprisonment; systematic torture attests to the violence of the occupation as recognized by the Supreme Court, which requested a report on the well-known Negev prison.

Finally, we must not ignore the history behind it, this conflict has lasted for 8 decades with the naqba and the dismissal of 800,000 Palestinians in 1947-48. We know today that these forced removals associated with the destruction of thousands of Arab villages (see the film by the Israeli Eyan Siwan, “route 181” where he followed the traces of the remains of these villages) like the books of L ‘Israeli Ilan Pappe, probably the best expert on the naqba (see link 6 and his book – the ethnic cleansing of Palestine – the publisher) or the 5 volumes of the history of Palestine by Henri Laurens from Fayard). This war did not start on October 7 and if we do not remember that the inhabitants of Gaza are the descendants of this forced migration and the abandonment of their lands, we cannot understand GAZA, hundreds of thousands of people in a vast prison for 80 years.

In summary, to say that anti-Zionism is anti-Semitism is absurd – even my previous article – it is a colonial operation of a state which wants to expel non-Jews from its territory. This, moreover, is officially recognized by the current government and was already recognized a century ago by the Jewish authorities including Ben-Gurion but of course also extremists like Netanyahu’s father.
