The flotillas to Gaza have all ended the same way: an invasion by Israeli soldiers, with the participants detained until they sign a statement—preferably one saying they were treated well… or even that they have no complaints against Israel. And the ships were confiscated when they weren’t sunk or destroyed by drones. Moreover, this constitutes an act of piracy often carried out in international waters, and even if it were in Gaza’s territorial waters, they do not belong to Israel. But international law has long ceased to be a concern for the criminal Prime Minister Netanyahu.
The fact remains that these acts are senseless reminders that our politicians are deplorable and that free citizens can try to offer virtual support to Gaza. There have been universities offering distance learning—as a reminder, there were 14 universities in Gaza, including two Islamic ones, a point worth noting for those who believe that everything there was Hamas. Here we are talking about an artistic flotilla loaded with works of art, carrying artists who are expressing their solidarity with this battered territory and its people who are being annihilated. Thank you to them—you represent the best in us!
